Book Description
All-Russian archaeological scientific journal. The purpose of the journal is to introduce the results of professional research in the field of archeology into scientific circulation, the formation of modern concepts on the problems of archaeological science. The tasks of the journal are to publish the most important achievements of field archaeological research of recent times, to consider a wide range of problems of primitive, classical and medieval archeology (including foreign ones), and the application of natural science methods in archeology. The editorial board of the KSIA is constantly working to improve the scientific level of published materials, expand the chronological and territorial coverage of publications in order to offer the reader new substantive information about the achievements of domestic archaeological science, presenting them against a broad background of the development of modern trends in the field of historical research. The thematic principle is applied in the formation of KSIA issues, the basis of the issue is the materials of a particular conference organized and held at the IA RAS.
