Folk tales
Alexey Nikolaevich Tolstoy began collecting folk tales, legends, and stories from an early youth. He was attracted by the beauty of folklore, the wisdom and ingenuity of the people, which found expression, including in a fairy-tale form. Alexey Nikolaevich recorded and creatively reworked many fairy tales, preserving the vivid plots and color of folk speech. We know and love many fairy tales precisely in its processing. The gift collection, published by the publishing house "Nygma", includes the most famous and beloved fairy tales from childhood. Among them are "Fox and hare", "Wolf and goats", "Havroshechka", "Geese-swans", "Sivka-burka"... The book was illustrated by the talented artist Yana Sedova. The publishing house "Nygma" has already published collections of Alexei Tolstoy's "Mermaid Tales" and "Soroki tales" with its design. These publications were awarded diplomas of the All-Russian contest "The Image of the Book" in 2016 and 2017 in the nomination "The best illustrations for works for children and adolescents". Yana Sedova is a graduate of the Stroganov Moscow Art Institute, a member of the Moscow Union of Artists, actively cooperates with Russian and foreign publishers
