Methods and models of complex systems research and big data processing
The creation, accumulation, processing and use of information in the world constitute a powerful information environment. It occupies a leading role in various fields of human activity. The monograph presents the initial step of identifying the particular properties of this complex process, their numerical study using the proposed methods and models of an engineering nature. In our opinion, such methods and models form the basis of big data processing in the field of solving research problems. Classical methods and models for the study of complex systems, the basic laws (Metcalf, Amdahl, Gustavson —Barsis, Groat) of the interaction of network structures, models and methods for evaluating their effectiveness and quality, as well as models and methods for the study of complex systems with fuzzy parameters are considered and improved. Modern tools and technologies of intelligent processing of big data are considered. Original results are presented concerning the solution of problems: information interaction, state control, reliability estimation and event prediction for complex systems; evaluation of efficiency, quality and performance of network structures, as well as evaluation and ensuring their reliability; calculation of membership functions with a fuzzy argument and coefficient, solving fuzzy nonlinear equations, searching for a conditional extremum with a fuzzy constraint, solutions of differential equations with fuzzy coefficients. A variant of big data processing based on the joint use of the Windows-based Hadoop tool system and a convolutional neural network in solving the problem of handwritten digit recognition is given. Neural network training is conducted on the basis of MNIST data set of handwritten digit writing samples. The convolutional neural network is built using the Neural Network Toolboox system. It is recommended for teachers and researchers, as well as undergraduates and postgraduates and in the study of complex systems and technologies for processing big data.
