The main topic of this issue is the publication of documents found in Russian archives and libraries: an unknown letter from Francesco Guicciardini to Niccolb Machiavelli, a description of Hanseatic documents found in the Library of Tomsk University, a previously unknown article by the largest Russian medievalist A.R. Korsunsky. Also published are translations of the most important texts from the Middle Ages and early modern times - the Swedish chronicle of the monks of the monastery of St. Birgitta and the agreement on the conclusion of the Protestant Union, which served as a pretext for the beginning of the Thirty Years' War.
